A platoon of Japanese soldiers attempt to ambush an Allied invasion by crossing an island infested with sea crocodiles.
Synopsis
In the waning days of World War II, young Imperial Army private Ryusei Tanaka joins legendary commander General Hiroshi Yamada on a mission to reinforce Japanese forces on Ramree Island, where Allied troops press hard for control. Shot down en route, the unit flees into the island’s mangrove swamps to avoid capture, only to discover a far deadlier enemy lurking in the shadows. As torrential monsoons batter the land, unseen predators begin picking the soldiers off one by one. When massive saltwater crocodiles strike, Ryu proves his mettle by killing one, but the attacks escalate until the survivors are forced into a desperate escape through the jungle canopy. A monstrous six-meter “Behemoth” crocodile ends Yamada’s life and drags Ryu into its underwater lair, where he faces the rotting corpses of his comrades and the ultimate test of survival. Navigating a flooded labyrinth and fending off relentless predators, Ryu battles exhaustion, terror, and loss to reach the open beach, only to be ambushed one last time by the Behemoth. Salvation comes in the form of Allied gunfire, as the fearsome creature falls to British bullets, leaving Ryu alive, but forever marked by his ordeal on Ramree Island.
